Cedarwood In Short Supply

cedarwood-ireland.jpeg

The picture shows most of the cedar planks that I picked up from the wood yard a few days ago. It was nowhere like the order that I had put in months ago having hoped the good weather was going to speed the drying but not to be. Cedarwood like this cannot be kiln dried but has to be air-dried so the whole drying process depends upon the relative humidity of the air and wind This takes time!

My supplier usually has tree trunks piled 20 feet high everywhere in his yard but on the last visit, early October the yard was nearly empty and he could not tell me when further supplies will be available

As with all things at the present time inevitably prices will increase rapidly due to supply and demand

I will hold my advertised prices as long as I have stocks. If you wish to purchase my beehives and equipment including Miller and Ashforth feeders in Cedar please put an order in so as not to be disappointed.
